Currently, captivating and retaining the female gender in the workplace has been a challenge for humanity. The challenge has reached the unconditional support of women in the smart economy. However, that constant struggle was halted due to the serious health crisis in which we live today. As a result, young women have been left behind in the financial sector and are less likely to be put into good employment. That is why recognizing this reality indicates deepening the issue and seeking to consolidate a solid foundation that lasts over time.

A report called "Women in Work Index 2021" published by PwC's strategic consultancy, reveals that progress towards gender equality is extremely slow. In addition, the COVID-19 health crisis is negatively impacting the labor sector and threatens to reverse the progress made by the female category. This research studies the participation of women in the professional market.

The data collected show that all 33 OECD countries have made progress in women's economic empowerment. The report reflects an index of 5 indicators that expresses intervention in the professional sector. Among these stands out the female labor force, in which it showed 66% in the first edition of the study, however, today the rate projects 70%, compared to 81% of men. In addition, the gap in the participation fee in 2011 was 13%, however, today it has decreased to 10%. In addition, full-time female adjustment rose from 74 percent to 76 percent, and finally, the level of unemployment has fallen considerably from 8 percent to 6 percent, compared with 5 percent for men.
