The daughter of prominent parents, William (Bill) and Hillary, Chelsea comes from a political lineage that she has embraced as a way of life and keeps active.
Now notable for her work at the CLINTON FOUNDATION and CLINTON GLOBAL INITIATIVE (CGI).
Chelsea was born in Arkansas, while her father Bill Clinton was governor. She attended public schools and then when her family moved to the white house, she studied at the private Sidwell Friends School. She earned her undergraduate degrees from Oxford and Columbia and a Ph.D. in international relations from Oxford in 2014.
In 2010, she married Marc Mezvinsky in 2014, from whose union she has a daughter and two sons. Chelsea tries to raise her children Charlotte, 8, Aidan, 6, and Jasper, 3 away from the center of attention and media harassment, since she has undoubtedly lived through this situation since she was a teenager and, although she did not resent it, she prefers that your privacy and tranquility are valued.
She has also dabbled in children’s literature, authoring and co-authoring non-fiction books for children and adults and writing about global health policy.
She accompanied her mother Hillary during the 2016 presidential campaign and was a special correspondent for NBC from 2011 to 2014.
He currently works for what was initially formed as the Clinton Foundation founded in 1997 as the William J. Clinton Presidential Foundation, and renamed in 2013 as the Bill, Hillary & Chelsea Clinton Foundation, a non-profit organization with the stated mission to strengthen the capacity of people in the United States and throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence.
Several projects and programs have been presented by the Clinton Foundation, where Chelsea is an active part.
In 2010, they announced a project called the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, making a partnership between the Clinton Foundation and the American Heart Association to end the childhood obesity epidemic in the United States.
On the other hand, Clinton Foundation’s Climate Initiative (CCI) has launched several programs to prevent deforestation, promote clean energy, and one interesting purpose: help island nations threatened by rising ocean levels because of global climate change.
CCI announced 2017 its first project which will help some large cities cut greenhouse gas emissions by facilitating retrofitting of existing buildings.
In 2007, the organizations led by Bill Clinton were the focus of accusations of misappropriation of funds, before which they finally got away with it, as no evidence of these claims was confirmed.
Chelsea Clinton and her mother have a very close relationship. They recently launched a new Apple TV+ series, “Gutsy,” based on their 2019 bestselling book “Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience.”
The Clinton family still has a long way to go and contribute to many international sectors. Chelsea’s involvement in the foundations and movements initiated by her parents ensures that this career has a hopeful future, but at the same time it represents a great challenge, since she is permanently in the eye of the hurricane, with the world attentive to her every move and decisions, but we can indisputably envision her as a great leader in the immediate future.
